We are seeking a proficient and detail-focused QA Automation Engineer to become a part of our Information Technology team in Singapore. In this capacity, you will be responsible for designing testing plans, developing automated test scripts, conducting hands-on API and functional testing, and collaborating with development teams in an Agile setting to uphold superior software quality standards.

Primary Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Strategy: Establish, construct, and implement thorough test plans, test strategy documents, and test cases that align with both functional and non-functional specifications.
• Test Automation & Scripting: Create, maintain, and execute scalable automated test scripts. Integrate automation suites within CI/CD pipelines (GitLab/Jenkins).
• Manual & Functional Testing: Carry out manual functional testing, design test cases, track defects, and perform end-to-end validation across Agile sprints.
• API & System Testing: Conduct REST API testing and set up test environments, including mock data and testing tools.
• Troubleshooting & Defect Monitoring: Evaluate test results, perform root cause analysis, log issues via JIRA, and collaborate with developers to address bottlenecks.
• Quality & Code Standards: Comply with best engineering practices, maintain clean code policies, manage version control (Git branching), and conduct security scans.

Qualifications & Requirements

Technical Expertise

• Core Skills: Strong foundation in Functional Testing, Manual Testing, and REST API testing.
• Issue & Test Management: Solid hands-on experience with JIRA (experience with Xray is an advantage).
• Automation Frameworks: Familiarity with Playwright is highly beneficial. Exposure to tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, TestNG, or Appium is advantageous.
• CI/CD & Version Control: Good understanding of CI/CD pipeline integration using GitLab (preferred) or Jenkins.
• Development Knowledge: Previous hands-on experience or familiarity with Spring Boot (or similar Java frameworks) is preferred.
• Domain Knowledge (Preferred): Knowledge of E-Banking, Digital Payments, or Trading platforms is a significant advantage.
