Technical Publication

Job Overview:

• We are looking for a skilled Technical Author Technical Publication Engineer with a background in aerospace or aero engine documentation.
• The individual will be tasked with developing, reviewing, and sustaining technical publications, including maintenance manuals, service bulletins, illustrated parts catalogs, and engineering documentation, all in line with aerospace industry regulations.

Primary Duties:

• Generate and update technical publications for Aero Engine products and systems.
• Produce maintenance manuals, overhaul manuals, component maintenance manuals (CMM), and service documents.
• Analyze engineering drawings, 3D models, bills of materials (BOMs), and design data to create technical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with design engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to collect the necessary technical information.
• Ensure all documentation meets aerospace standards and fulfills customer requirements.
• Conduct document revisions, updates, and manage configuration control activities.
• Create illustrations, exploded views, and technical graphics for publications.
• Assist in change management processes and integrate engineering changes into manuals.
• Review and verify technical content for accuracy, thoroughness, and consistency.

Technical Qualifications:

• Experience in Technical Authoring and Technical Publications.
• Familiarity with Aero Engine systems and aerospace engineering principles.
• Proven track record in developing maintenance and technical manuals.
• Comprehension of engineering drawings, GD&T, and BOM structures.
• Proficient in XML, SGML, Arbortext, FrameMaker, or comparable authoring tools.
• Exceptional technical writing and documentation abilities.
• Experience with configuration management and document control protocols.

Additional Qualifications:

• Knowledge of S1000D, ATA iSpec 2200, or other aerospace documentation standards.
• Familiarity with CAD software such as CATIA, Creo, or Siemens NX.
• Experience using PLM tools like Teamcenter or Windchill.
• Understanding of aerospace maintenance and repair methodologies.
