Job Description

Position Overview

  • The Technology Development Department is divided into three essential groups: Technology Systems, Product Performance & Acoustics, and Simulation. This position is located within the Technology Systems group, focusing primarily on fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and sensing technologies. Our Technology Systems Team is not merely a collection of engineers; we are pioneers in creating advanced technical systems (including fluids, thermals, and sensing technologies) for Hair care and other innovative product categories. Operating from Singapore and the Philippines, our team leads the charge in innovation, consistently redefining the possibilities in product development.
  • Our engineers are responsible for overseeing projects from the initial concept through to production readiness, providing them with exceptional insight into the entire product life cycle. Equipped with a cutting-edge laboratory, simulations, and analytical tools, they leverage their creativity and technical skills to launch world-class products into the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the fluid and thermodynamics aspects of your designated project, ensuring its successful completion from inception to conclusion.
  • Assume ownership of performance specifications within projects and ensure that product performance meets the outlined requirements. Deliverables will include analytical studies, experimental testing, and simulations (using CFD).
  • Proactively manage associated technical risks and implement necessary mitigations. Ensure timely resolution of risk-related issues.
  • Address FRACAS (Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System) through systematic technical analysis in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of the team’s testing and simulation capabilities in alignment with broader business goals.

Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Fluid Dynamics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A relevant Master’s or PhD degree is a plus.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in mechanical product analysis and development, ideally within the consumer electrical appliance sector.
  • Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, demonstrating a commitment to continuous learning, adaptability, and collaboration.
  • Extensive knowledge of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and proven experience in CFD is essential for this position.
  • Familiarity with thermal measurement techniques and tools such as thermal cameras, thermocouples, picologgers, and NI instrumentation is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding and experience in heat transfer principles and heater system-level design is a plus.
  • Must exhibit the capacity to thrive in a rapidly changing work environment, where adaptability to new challenges and teamwork are vital.
