Senior Software Engineer

Summary

Key efforts include digitalizing critical services such as healthcare, agriculture subsidies, small merchant supply chains, aid distribution, and education.

Job Responsibilities

• Drive platform development for strategic growth initiatives by shaping design decisions and building consensus.
• Contribute across the Software Development Life Cycle through coaching, R&D, proof of concepts, prototyping, development, and code review.
• Own training delivery across different stages of the development cycle.
• Guide development practices to ensure adherence to best practices, policies, and procedures.

• Demonstrate adherence to and implement enterprise quality standards, processes, and tools.
• Develop and implement build control strategies and/or QA tools/processes.
• Collaborate with business and development teams to define test plans and schedules.
• Convert complex system requirements and specifications into test requirements and testing methods.
• Mentor peers and support less experienced team members.
• Hands-on automation testing experience using tools such as TestNG, Appium, Selenium, Rest Assured, and other mobile automation tools.
• Ability to write test scripts in Java.
• Knowledge of the software testing life cycle, including test planning, test design and execution, defect management, and test reporting.
• Practical experience with functional, regression, system, and UAT testing.
• Strong capabilities in defect identification, debugging, and root cause analysis.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle teams.
• Understanding and experience with software development processes such as Scrum, SAFe, Extreme Programming, and/or Lean.
• Hands-on experience with Confluence, JIRA, and Rally.
• 5-7 years of automation testing experience.

• Experience testing solutions for large-scale deployments, including large enterprises or service providers, banking, or payment solutions.
• Ability to identify and implement more complex automation initiatives.
• Manage medium-sized projects/initiatives as an individual contributor with advanced discipline expertise—leading a portion of several initiatives or a larger initiative—or formally supervise a small team with responsibility for day-to-day work assignments.
