PostgreSQL DBA

Role and Responsibility Details:

• Must gave have relevant experience and in-depth knowledge in any PostgreSQL administration task
• Should have experience on AWS RDS in setting up Postgres for redundancy across multiple regions and Disaster Recovery Planning.
• A database administrators responsibilities can include the following tasks:
• Perform installations and upgrades of PostgreSQL
• Plan and perform DB Patching.
• Knowledge of Database backups / Troubleshoot failures, query execution plans, performance tuning techniques
• Define maintenance plans.
• Configure / Troubleshoot Replication (BSR / xDB SMR / xDB MMR)
• Set up disaster recovery
• Perform Fail-over and Fail-backs
• Monitor servers through PEM
• Capacity planning
• Script database changes
• Experience with latest versions PostgreSQL EDB versions
• User Administration and Security
