Senior Banking Business Analyst - Lending

We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with deep Banking and Financial Services domain expertise to join our Commercial / Corporate Banking delivery programme.

The selected candidate will serve as a key link between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating complex banking requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and testable acceptance criteria.

This position requires hands-on experience in Lending (mandatory), Deposits, and Banking Pricing, as well as strong expertise in Agile delivery, stakeholder management, requirements gathering, and end-to-end business process analysis.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to drive requirements independently while partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and QA teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Discovery & Requirements Gathering

• Lead business discovery activities and requirements elicitation across Lending, Deposits, and Pricing.
• Plan and facilitate stakeholder workshops, interviews, and business discussion sessions.
• Assess current-state and future-state business processes and customer journeys.
• Capture and document end-to-end business workflows, system integrations, APIs, and data flows.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

2. Agile Delivery & Collaboration

• Create, maintain, and manage a clearly defined product backlog.
• Drive backlog refinement and prioritisation in partnership with the Product Owner.
• Attend and contribute to Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Three Amigos sessions.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and QA teams to enable effective delivery.
• Clarify business requirements, answer functional questions, and provide sprint support to delivery teams.
• Maintain requirements, decisions, and functional documentation in JIRA and Confluence.

3. Functional Validation & Quality Assurance

• Verify delivered capabilities against agreed business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support UAT planning, execution, and business sign-off.
• Work alongside QA teams to help ensure thorough test coverage.
• Assist with defect triage, issue analysis, and resolution support.
• Ensure delivered solutions satisfy business, pricing, lending, and risk-related requirements.

4. Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and navigate competing business priorities.
• Enable effective communication across multiple teams.
• Ensure business questions are resolved in a timely manner and maintain alignment between stakeholder expectations and technical delivery.

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of overall IT industry experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant Business Analysis experience.
• Hands-on experience and prior project experience in Lending is mandatory.
• Strong Banking and Financial Services (BFSI) domain knowledge.
• Experience in Commercial Banking / Corporate Banking.
• Good functional understanding of Lending, Deposits, Pricing, and related banking products.
• Strong experience in business discovery, requirements gathering, and elicitation.
• Hands-on experience conducting stakeholder workshops and process-analysis sessions.
• Expertise in creating BRDs, FRDs, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Strong experience in Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Experience with backlog management, backlog refinement, prioritisation, and Three Amigos sessions.
• Experience working with Product Owners, Engineering, Architecture, and QA teams.
• Understanding of end-to-end business processes, system integrations, APIs, and data flows.
• Experience in functional testing, UAT, defect management, and business validation.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
