Security Officer

Job Summary

The Security Officer will help maintain a safe and secure environment for customers, employees, visitors, and company assets. This position includes monitoring site activity, performing patrols, preventing unauthorized entry, handling security-related incidents, and ensuring adherence to security protocols and applicable safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage access to company premises.
• Carry out routine patrols of assigned areas to detect and reduce security threats.
• Act quickly to address alarms, emergencies, incidents, and security breaches.
• Verify and screen visitors, contractors, and employees in line with established security procedures.
• Complete detailed and accurate incident, occurrence, and daily activity reports.
• Assess suspicious activities and escalate concerns to supervisors when required.
• Offer support and provide directions to visitors and customers.
• Check that security equipment, CCTV systems, and access control systems are operating correctly.
• Follow and enforce company policies, safety standards, and security procedures.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, emergency services, and relevant authorities when needed.
• Assist with emergency evacuation procedures and crowd management activities.

Requirements

Education

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification.
• Additional security-related certifications are an advantage.

Experience

• At least 1-2 years of experience in security operations, customer service, or a related field.
