Your Role and Responsibilities

As a Security Consultant with a focus on Intelligence & Operations, you will play a vital role in assisting Client IT teams to identify, analyze, and address critical security challenges, vulnerabilities, and exposures. Your expertise in security intelligence and operational strategies will enable you to develop and communicate effective security measures and risk mitigation plans.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop Security Strategies: Leverage security principles, threat intelligence, and operational knowledge to design and recommend comprehensive security strategies, programs, and mitigation plans.
• Enhance Security Posture: Implement proactive threat hunting and intelligence-driven defense tactics to strengthen the security resilience of Client IT environments.
• Articulate IBM's SIOC and SIEM: Clearly communicate the perspectives and capabilities of IBM's Security Intelligence and Operations Center (SIOC) and Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), including associated financial considerations.
• Leverage Threat Intelligence: Utilize hands-on experience with tools such as QRadar to analyze cyber threats and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with Clients: Work closely with Client IT teams to understand their specific security needs and deliver tailored, effective security solutions.

Required Technical and Professional Skills

• Security Intelligence Knowledge: Experience with security intelligence and operations, enabling the development and articulation of effective security strategies and mitigation measures.
• Threat Analysis Experience: Practical experience using tools like QRadar for analyzing and mitigating a variety of cyber threats.
• Counter-Threat Intelligence: Familiarity with counter-threat intelligence principles and practices to inform security strategy development.
• Security Strategy Development: Proven ability to work within security frameworks to develop and recommend comprehensive security strategies, programs, and mitigation plans.
• Cyber Threat Understanding: Knowledge of various cyber threats and their potential impact on organizational security posture.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

• Advanced Threat Analysis Tools: Experience with utilizing additional threat analysis tools beyond QRadar to address complex cyber threats and strengthen threat intelligence capabilities.
• Cybersecurity Frameworks: Familiarity with recognized industry cybersecurity frameworks to support comprehensive security strategy formulation and mitigation efforts.
• Financial Impact Analysis: Experience assessing the financial implications of security vulnerabilities and threats to inform strategic security investments.
