SAP BASIS Consultant

Job Overview:

• A typical day as an Infoscion
• In your role within the Infosys consulting team, you will delve into customer challenges, identify problem areas, design creative solutions, and facilitate their deployment to ensure client satisfaction.
• Your responsibilities will include developing proposals by taking charge of specific sections of the proposal document and providing insights in solution design based on your expertise.
• You will organize configuration activities, set up the product according to the design, lead conference room pilots, and assist in addressing any inquiries related to requirements and solution design.
• Your role will involve conducting solution product demonstrations, Proof of Concept (POC) workshops, and preparing effort estimates that align with the customer's budget while adhering to the organization's financial guidelines.
• Take the lead on smaller projects and actively contribute to unit-level and organizational initiatives aimed at delivering high-quality, value-driven solutions to clients.

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain SAP environments, including Development, QA, Production, and Disaster Recovery (DR) systems.
• Install, configure, and provide support for SAP landscapes and third-party tools.
• Carry out SAP Basis administrative tasks, encompassing transports, kernel upgrades, support packs, and system refreshes.
• Diagnose system issues and conduct root cause analyses.
• Support SAP HANA administration and Solution Manager activities.
• Engage in implementation, migration, and upgrade projects.
• Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to fulfill business requirements.
• Contribute to process enhancements and organizational initiatives.

Technical Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in SAP Basis.
• Proficient in SAP system monitoring and administration.
• Familiarity with SAP HANA and SAP Business Suite.
• Experience in system refreshes and restoration procedures.
• Exposure to SAP Solution Manager.
• Basic knowledge of OS and database administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Readiness to work in a 24x7 support environment.
