Core Responsibilities:
- Engage in the development and customization of the RDKV Reference Design Kit Video platform.
- Design and create multimedia web browser solutions specifically for embedded systems.
- Focus on the porting and customization of WebKit WPE, along with browser engine improvements.
- Contribute to the development of OTT streaming solutions, emphasizing performance and scalability.
- Optimize graphics rendering using OpenGL ES2.
- Implement and enhance functionalities related to MSE Media Source Extensions and EME Encrypted Media Extensions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive feature delivery.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to performance, stability, and compatibility in embedded settings.
Technical Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in developing web browsers for embedded systems with an emphasis on multimedia.
- Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming languages.
- Demonstrated experience with WebKit WPE porting or development, along with familiarity with other web browser engines.
- Experience in HTML and JavaScript coding with a comprehensive understanding of how this translates into the web browser engine.
- Knowledge of OpenGL ES2 and graphics programming.
- Solid experience with embedded Linux and a sound understanding of real-time operating systems concepts.
- Expertise in the development of MSE and EME extensions.
- Familiarity with DRM technologies used in OTT streaming, such as PlayReady and Widevine.
- Understanding of various streaming technologies and A/V containers, including HLS and MPEG DASH.
- Familiarity with modern rendering and window managers; experience with Wayland, Weston, or Westeros is a significant advantage.
