QA/Automation Engineer

Overview:
We are looking for a talented individual to create, implement, and execute API test cases, develop automation frameworks, and work alongside diverse teams to uphold quality and security throughout the software development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

• Create and execute API test cases derived from both business and technical specifications.
• Develop and sustain API automation suites utilizing the Karate Framework.
• Assess REST APIs, including authentication methods, request/response payloads, status codes, headers, and API sequencing.
• Conduct CSIRT/Security testing encompassing authentication, authorization, access control validation, vulnerability assessment, and security regression testing.
• Develop and manage test data, test scripts, and automation frameworks.
• Perform System Integration Testing (SIT), End-to-End (E2E), regression, and release validation testing.
• Record, monitor, and oversee defects until resolution.
• Engage with developers, architects, DevOps, and security teams to proactively identify quality and security risks in the SDLC.
• Evaluate test outcomes and deliver actionable quality metrics and reports.

• 3-5 years of expertise in API Testing and Automation.
• Proficient hands-on experience with the Karate Framework.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth, JWT, as well as API authentication and authorization methods.
• Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, CURL, and other API debugging tools.
• Background in CSIRT/Security testing and vulnerability validation.
• Strong understanding of OWASP security principles and prevalent API vulnerabilities.
• Familiarity with test automation, defect management, and CI/CD integration.
• Exceptional analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
• Outstanding communication and collaborative skills with stakeholders.

• Preferred educational qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
