Principal/Lead Consultant – Banking Domain Consulting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee the delivery of intricate engagements for a diverse range of companies, from large to small, within the Banking and Financial Services sector globally.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with senior CxO clients and target organizations for business development.
• Lead discussions with client CxOs, develop proposals, design solutions, facilitate design thinking workshops, and manage consulting engagements and project teams.
• Participate in account management and relationship-building activities, including value scans, health check diagnostics, benchmarking, and opportunity assessments presented to clients.
• Offer strategic guidance to clients regarding industry trends, leveraging technological advancements to help shape their vision and navigate complex stakeholder relationships.
• Steer complex transformation initiatives through all phases of the banking financial services value chain.
• Communicate complex ideas and solutions clearly and convincingly, showcasing a deep understanding of the nuances involved.
• Engage and influence stakeholders as well as non-technical team members.
• Enhance the profile and reputation of the Finacle Consulting Group through firm-building initiatives, capability development, thought leadership, whitepapers, and speaking engagements at conferences.
• Mentor a team of high-achieving consultants.
• Advance next-generation banking thought leadership by contributing to business strategy formulation, value-driven propositions, and accelerated solution design capabilities for banking transformation engagements.

Technical Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience in configuring and tailoring products to meet specific business requirements, including parameter settings, workflow definitions, and data mapping.
• Experience managing multiple complex programs across various work streams, setting priorities, monitoring timelines, and developing relevant tools, templates, and communication frameworks while engaging key stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Project Management experience in agile methodologies, having served as Project Manager, Product Owner, and Scrum Master within SAFe projects, and facilitating Agile Ways of Working transformation programs for client IT organizations.

Additional Qualifications:

• 10 to 20 years of experience, including a minimum of 6 years in top-tier consulting, preferably in Banking and Financial Services, post-MBA.
• An MBA from a prestigious institution.
• Demonstrated experience managing domain tracks in at least 8 large transformation initiatives, overseeing the entire implementation lifecycle from inception to delivery.
• Experience leading implementation projects with a consultative, opinionated, and business-focused strategy.
• In-depth knowledge of banking concepts, including deposits, lending, and trade services, with expertise in various computational methodologies across these functions.
• Strong grasp of financial theory and practice across banking functions, including formulas for interest, amortization scheduling, and their application throughout the value chain.
• Comprehensive understanding of diverse banking business models, including product offerings, revenue streams, and customer service frameworks.
• Experience with scenario-based configuration within banking systems and event-based modeling for business operations.
• Hands-on experience in banking processes, having worked with a leading bank or banking product company in a solutions and transformation capacity.
• Proven ability in business solutioning, functional fit-gap analysis, and business scenario modeling to ensure alignment of solutions with client needs.
• Capability to develop and present compelling business cases and track key performance indicators that illustrate clear value realization for clients.
• Experience leading and facilitating functional workshops with stakeholders, ensuring thorough analysis of functional dependencies.
• Experience with Accelerated Solution Design (ASD) methodologies using Finacle or similar products to ensure smooth implementation of solutions.
