Performance Test Specialist Guidewire

We are seeking a Performance Test Specialist for Guidewire applications with 6–9 years of experience to build and run a repeatable performance-engineering capability for selected applications. The role includes validating system performance under both expected and extreme workloads and delivering practical, actionable insights to enhance production readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish performance, load, stress and volume-testing strategies aligned to application and business requirements.
• Create, maintain and execute reusable performance-test scripts and scenarios using Apache JMeter.
• Set up repeatable performance-testing processes that can be applied across releases and applications at scale.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to identify key business journeys and define suitable workload models.
• Produce test scenarios, test data, execution plans and performance-testing documentation.
• Run baseline, load, stress and volume tests in accordance with the agreed non-functional requirements.
• Track and evaluate response times, throughput, error outcomes and resource-utilization metrics available during testing.
• Detect performance bottlenecks and collaborate with engineering teams to assist root-cause investigation and remediation.
• Review and compare performance outcomes across test cycles/releases, identifying regressions.
• Coordinate performance-test environments, test data and dependent systems.
• Deliver clear performance test reporting that covers findings, issues, risks and release-readiness considerations.
• Execute Guidewire performance-testing requirements using JMeter.
• Develop reusable scripts, datasets and execution approaches to increase efficiency in subsequent releases.
• Support performance-focused improvement initiatives and facilitate knowledge transfer to Client teams.
• Where appropriate, evaluate approved AI/GenAI accelerators for performance analysis, following Client controls and human validation.
