Lead Developer

Job Summary

This hybrid position is ideal for a lead developer with five to eight years of experience delivering scalable web applications using CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and React for an international organization operating in the investment banking and brokerage space. In this role, you will lead solution design, mentor developers, and work closely with cross-functional teams to create secure, responsive applications. You will focus on usability, compliance, and delivering technology that supports sophisticated investment banking operations.

Responsibilities

Design and build high-quality responsive web applications using CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and React that enable complex investment banking operations and provide an intuitive experience for both internal and external users.

Own end-to-end implementation of front-end features—from technical design through coding, testing, and deployment—ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and regulatory expectations for investment banking and brokerage platforms.

Partner with product owners, business analysts, and operations stakeholders to convert investment banking and brokerage needs into clear technical solutions that improve trade processing, client servicing, and operational efficiency.

Offer technical leadership to developers by promoting best practices in React component design, state management, performance optimization, and secure coding to sustain a reliable, maintainable front-end codebase.

Review code and technical designs to ensure consistent use of reusable patterns, adherence to accessibility standards, implementation of security controls, and strong error handling practices in line with organizational policies and industry expectations.

Coordinate with backend and infrastructure teams to define clean interfaces, optimize data flows, and ensure smooth integration between front-end services and core banking systems in a hybrid work environment.

Drive continuous improvement by investigating production issues, gathering user feedback, and evaluating performance metrics—then delivering incremental enhancements that reduce manual effort and support accurate, timely investment banking operations.

Oversee day-to-day development execution, including effort estimation, sprint planning, task prioritization, and progress tracking, to deliver high-impact features within agreed timelines in a day shift schedule, with no travel requirements.

Strengthen testing quality by defining unit, integration, and regression testing strategies and collaborating with quality teams to confirm functionality, reliability, and compliance for investment banking and brokerage workflows.

Create and maintain clear documentation of technical designs, key architectural decisions, and deployment procedures to support knowledge transfer, onboarding, and long-term maintenance of front-end solutions.

Work with cybersecurity and compliance specialists to apply secure coding standards, protect client data, and support alignment with relevant regulations that affect investment banking platforms.

Collaborate with operations and support teams to assess production incidents, troubleshoot user-facing issues, and implement preventative actions that enhance system stability and service continuity.

Contribute to innovation and modernization initiatives, including refactoring legacy front-end components, migrating to modern React patterns, and introducing automation that increases productivity and improves user experience across the organization.

Qualifications

Possess a strong foundation in CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and React, with demonstrated experience delivering complex front-end solutions for enterprise-scale applications within a minimum of five years and a maximum of eight years of overall development experience.

Demonstrate practical understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, performance optimization, and accessibility to ensure inclusive and effective user experiences across devices and environments.

Exhibit experience working in hybrid models and collaborating across distributed teams using modern collaboration tools to maintain productivity and communication in a global corporate environment.

Apply knowledge of investment banking operations, investment banking, and brokerage domains as a nice to have skill to better interpret business processes such as trade lifecycle management and client servicing needs.

Show familiarity with modern front-end tooling such as build systems, testing frameworks, and version control platforms to support dependable delivery and sustain high code quality.

Display strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including the ability to diagnose issues in complex system interactions and propose clear, pragmatic solutions aligned with business goals.

Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders by explaining design decisions, risks, and trade-offs in simple language to enable informed decision-making and collaborative outcomes.
