IT Technician

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, and various hardware peripherals.
• Conduct regular maintenance and monitoring of physical servers, networking equipment, and storage solutions.
• Oversee server backups, updates, and ensure optimal hardware uptime and performance.
• Address hardware-related support requests, incidents, and outages with urgency.
• Execute hardware upgrades and replacements according to lifecycle management strategies.
• Keep precise documentation of assets, configurations, and maintenance logs.
• Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware repairs or warranty matters.
• Participate in IT infrastructure projects, including server room setups, migrations, or expansions.
• Adhere to company IT policies and data security protocols.
• Provide after-hours support for critical hardware or server failures on an on-call basis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• A minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in IT hardware and server maintenance.
• Familiarity with Windows Server, basic networking concepts, and RAID/storage technologies is advantageous.
• Able to perform maintenance tasks during after-hours to minimize disruption to daily operations.

Technical Skills

• In-depth knowledge of PC and laptop hardware components and peripherals.
• Experience with server hardware, rack-mounted systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and cabling.
• Basic understanding of networking principles, including IP, DHCP, and DNS.
• Proficient in using backup tools and endpoint management solutions.
