Industrial Project Engineer

Primary Responsibilities:

• Oversee the automation and digital transformation of tasks to boost performance and operational efficiency (including paperless audits, digital traceability solutions, and automated quality control systems).
• Direct Project Management and Continuous Improvement efforts (implementing lean manufacturing methodologies, redesigning process flows, enhancing ergonomic and working conditions, and managing associated documentation).
• Educate all relevant stakeholders (particularly Team Leaders and Operational staff) on mastering new technologies aimed at increasing productivity (such as paperless audits and automated data collection).
• Monitor machinery and workflows, ensuring the accurate recording of process parameters.
• Deliver manufacturing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) including Intro rate, lead times, Overall Labor Effectiveness (OLE), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), and Standard Operating Time (SOT).
• Work collaboratively with relevant sites or departments to promptly investigate and address complex issues.
• Consistently seek knowledge of industry benchmark processes and practices, advocating for their implementation within SLS Malaysia.
• Drive efforts to meet continuous improvement and performance targets in areas such as throughput, delivery, cost, quality, and safety.
• Establish and sustain effective collaborative relationships with both internal and external customers.
• Comply with and actively engage in occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental policies, as well as Energy policies and initiatives such as I-See I-Act, GPI, and low carbon initiatives.
• Adhere to Business Ethics, Anti-Corruption measures, the Flight Safety Management System, and other relevant policies and procedures.
• Undertake additional duties as necessary.

Essential Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or an equivalent field, or relevant experience.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Proven expertise in automation, robotics, and digitalization.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (including Pivot Tables and VBA macros).
• Familiarity with data analysis tools such as PowerBI and SQL queries is highly advantageous.
