Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust, scalable, and high-performance big data applications.
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code in Scala using functional programming principles.
• Work with Apache Kafka for building real-time data pipelines and streaming applications.
• Implement search and analytics solutions using Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, data engineers, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing and participate in code reviews.
• Continuously improve application performance, scalability, and data processing speed.
• Maintain and enhance data ingestion, processing, and storage components.

Requirements

• Experience working in a software product development organization.
• 4+ years of experience in Big Data application development.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Scala and functional programming paradigms.
• Solid experience with Apache Kafka for messaging and stream processing.
• Proven experience integrating and querying Elasticsearch.
• Understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and cloud environments is a plus.
• Knowledge of performance tuning, memory optimization, and best practices in big data architectures.
