Ideal Candidate Profile: We are seeking a seasoned engineering or technology executive from a UK bank, challenger bank, or FinTech organization. The ideal candidate will have successfully delivered corporate transactional banking, current account, cash management, or similar platform capabilities. An in-depth understanding of core banking systems and a passion for leveraging modern engineering and AI to transform the creation, delivery, and user experience of banking products is essential.
Candidate Profile
Essential Experience
Proven experience in UK Corporate Banking technology settings.
In-depth knowledge of the Corporate Transactional Banking domain, including business current accounts, payment integration, client servicing, fees, overdrafts, and associated banking journeys.
Demonstrated experience in delivering transactional banking, current account, cash management, or corporate digital banking functionalities.
Experience with or integration into core banking platforms such as Mambu, Finacle, Temenos, Thought Machine, or similar alternatives.
Established record of leading engineering teams, technology domains, or delivery squads in the financial services sector.
Experience in delivering sophisticated, multi-platform solutions within regulated banking frameworks.
Technical and Architectural Insights
Strong grasp of API-driven integration, platform-centric architecture, and contemporary engineering methodologies.
Adept at functioning within a federated platform environment with multiple accountable platform owners.
Solid understanding of cloud-native engineering, DevOps, CI/CD, test automation, observability, and operational resilience.
Capable of challenging and guiding architectural decisions while maintaining a pragmatic and delivery-oriented mindset.
Leadership and Delivery
Exceptional people leadership skills with the capability to build, inspire, and expand engineering teams.
Outstanding stakeholder management across business, product, technology, architecture, risk, and operations.
Commercially savvy and outcome-driven, with the ability to link technology delivery to business value.
