FHIR-Business Analyst

Job Description:

• As a FHIR Business Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to utilize your expertise in the healthcare domain to comprehend, manage, and analyze healthcare data in accordance with HL7 and FHIR standards.
• This position will require you to perform ETL on data to facilitate smooth integration across different healthcare systems.
• In a client-facing capacity, you will be expected to provide comprehensive industry knowledge and insights to address complex business requirements.
• Your role will entail delivering insights through data analysis, crafting reporting solutions, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate interface specifications, conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting of interfaces connecting medical information systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and sustain data solutions that promote interoperability and data exchange.
• Oversee and uphold data quality by identifying, diagnosing, and resolving data-related challenges.
• Establish data validation and cleansing procedures to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
• Facilitate business requirements grooming sessions to create a product backlog and refine functional specifications for IT solutions utilizing ALM tools such as Jira, Rally, RRC, and RTC.
• Evaluate business needs, define comprehensive requirements, and propose potential solutions in conjunction with business stakeholders.
• Document current and future business processes while assessing business models, systems, and technology integration.
• Engage closely with Product Owners and Business Stakeholders to analyze requirements and prepare Product Backlog items.
• Draft user stories, set acceptance criteria for those stories, and manage product backlog prioritization.
• Serve as a liaison between business requirements and technological solutions for stakeholders and customers, including testing oversight.
• Possess expertise in the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Have practical experience with Agile methodologies and tools.
• Demonstrate experience in leading and managing Agile projects, including Team SLAs, Operations, SOW compliance, Risks, Quality, and Budget management.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives at the account unit level.
• Identify new growth opportunities and assist in proposal and solution development activities.
• Possess a solid understanding of project management practices and project budgeting.

Technical Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in HL7 FHIR implementation.
• Proficiency in developing interface specifications, as well as testing, validating, and troubleshooting interfaces between medical information systems.
• Extensive knowledge of HL7 FHIR version 4.0.1 and healthcare data, both in proprietary and industry-standard formats (HL7).
• Familiarity with FHIR implementation guides such as DaVinci, CARIN, and US Core.
• Capability to perform data mapping for clinical data transitioning from source systems to the FHIR data model.
• Experience mapping source datasets to FHIR resources.
• Expertise in all phases of the System Development Life Cycle, including requirement gathering, modeling use cases, data analysis, technical specification development, issue resolution, user acceptance testing, schedule tracking, task management, and the documentation of processes for training manuals.
• Experience leading meetings with client business leads and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Familiarity with visual design thinking methodologies and agile, lightweight approaches such as customer personas, customer journeys, and story maps.
• Exceptional soft skills, both written and verbal, with strong communication capabilities.
• Global experience within a multicultural organizational environment.
