Assistant Finance Manager (Contract)

Position Overview:

• Sector: Higher Education
• Employment Type: 1-Year Contract
• Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM; Friday 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Support routine financial functions, encompassing reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.
• Assist with ad-hoc financial inquiries and prepare data for strategic decision-making purposes.
• Authorize FastPay collections link submissions for student-related activities and provide necessary assistance.
• Prepare documentation for withholding tax submissions.
• Develop Risk Control Matrix.
• Engage in enhancing existing workflows and identifying areas for process optimization.
• Conduct reviews of journal submissions and budget reallocations.
• Oversee the creation and submission of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).

Qualifications:

• Hold a recognized degree in Accountancy with at least 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with SAP financial systems (S4 HANA) and analytical tools (such as Power BI) is preferred.
• Exhibit strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Competent in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrate a high level of independence and the maturity to collaborate effectively with staff across all levels.
