Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AS400 / IBM i Developer with proven, hands-on expertise in RPG programming, DB2/400, and legacy application support. In this role, you will contribute to application modernization and migration efforts, including legacy system analysis, code remediation, data validation, testing activities, and migration support.

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of experience in AS400 / IBM i development.
• Strong hands-on experience in RPG IV, RPGLE, ILE RPG, Free-Format RPG.
• Experience in SQLRPGLE and CL/CLLE.
• Strong knowledge of DB2/400 and Embedded SQL.
• Experience in AS400 application analysis, development, and support.
• Understanding of application modernization and migration projects.
• Experience in code remediation, debugging, and data validation.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance-tuning skills.
• Excellent communication and ownership skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analysis of existing AS400 applications, including business logic, dependencies, and interfaces.
• Support IBM i / AS400 application modernization and migration initiatives.
• Review and improve RPG, CL, and DB2/400 components.
• Carry out code remediation and assess migration impact.
• Support data extraction, conversion, reconciliation, and validation.
• Execute unit, system, and integration testing.
• Investigate and troubleshoot application defects and migration-related problems.
• Monitor batch jobs and provide support for production issues.
• Create technical documentation and migration deliverables.
• Coordinate with business users, architects, and migration teams.
• Assist with deployment, cutover, and post-migration activities.

• Cloud migration / application modernization experience.
• API integration knowledge.
• ETL and data migration concepts.
• Agile project experience.
• ERP / Supply Chain / Manufacturing domain knowledge.
