In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Boiler & Turbine Control Excellence – Develop, refine, and optimize PID loops for combustion, drum level, and feedwater control to enable seamless, highly efficient turbine performance, including intelligent load-sharing strategies.
- Improve Steam Temperature Control - Deploy advanced control approaches, including spray attemperation and reheater tuning, to sustain efficient steam conditions, reduce thermal stress, and extend plant operating life.
- Advanced Combustion Optimization – Enhance efficiency through precise tuning of air-fuel ratios, strengthen emissions control, and optimize burner management systems to achieve improved heat rate and flame stability.
- Improving Unit Rate & Load Optimization – Create intelligent load demand control strategies, fine-tune heat rate optimization, and improve turbine governor tuning to increase fuel efficiency and support grid stability.
- Reliable Drum Level & Feedwater Control – Design multi-element drum level control systems with adaptive tuning, delivering excellent stability during fluctuating load conditions while minimizing shrink and swell.
- Implement brand new MPC strategies to reduce process variability, enhance system stability, and integrate smoothly with advanced DCS/PLC systems.
- DCS Commissioning (Emerson Ovation) – Lead DCS configuration, programming, and commissioning efforts using Emerson Ovation expertise, optimizing plant performance and ensuring smooth power plant operations.
- Innovative Fuzzy Logic & Advanced Control – Apply intelligent control methodologies by integrating fuzzy logic with PID and MPC to deliver exceptional efficiency, adaptability, and overall process performance.
- Data-Driven Process Optimization & Performance Enhancement – Evaluate key operational data to uncover growth opportunities, drive efficiency improvements, and partner with plant teams to help ensure a future-ready power plant.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Control Systems, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-15+ years of hands-on experience in power plant control, process automation, and advanced control strategies, driving efficiency and innovation.
- Strong expertise in control system engineering, power plant automation, and turbine control to enable seamless process optimization.
- Demonstrated capability in PID tuning, boiler tuning, and process modeling to ensure maximum efficiency and reliability.
- Significant hands-on experience with Emerson Ovation DCS commissioning and troubleshooting to support seamless plant operations.
- Expertise in Model Predictive Control (MPC), multivariable control, and fuzzy logic control to enhance automation and performance.
- A solid background in steam temperature optimization, combustion optimization, and unit rate optimization to improve energy efficiency.
