Windchill Solution Architect

Job Overview:

• The Windchill Solution Architect will take charge of the design, implementation, and optimization of PLM solutions utilizing PTC Windchill.
• This position entails spearheading the overall architecture, integrations, customization strategies, and delivering technical guidance to ensure alignment with the organization's PLM roadmap and business goals.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Solution Architecture Development
• Establish comprehensive architecture for PTC Windchill PLM implementations.
• Interpret business requirements to develop scalable PLM solutions.
• Produce both high-level and detailed technical designs, encompassing integrations, workflows, data models, and customizations.
• Guarantee that the solution architecture aligns with both business and IT strategies.
• Windchill Implementation and Customization
• Lead the implementation of Windchill's PDMLink, MPMLink, and ProjectLink modules.
• Supervise and direct customizations using:
• Java J2EE
• Info Engine Webjects
• JCA JSX components
• REST and SOAP APIs
• Enhance performance, security, and configurations.
• Integration and Migration
• Design and oversee integrations between Windchill and:
• CAD tools such as Creo, SolidWorks, and CATIA
• ERP systems like SAP and Oracle
• Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Lead Windchill data migration, upgrades, deployment planning, and cutover activities.
• Stakeholder Engagement
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, engineering, manufacturing, and IT teams.
• Provide architectural guidance during requirement analyses.
• Facilitate solution workshops and design evaluations.
• Governance and Best Practices
• Establish PLM standards, reusable frameworks, and development guidelines.
• Define best practices for Windchill customizations, workflows, and lifecycle processes.
• Conduct technical risk evaluations and propose mitigation strategies.
• Technical Leadership
• Guide and mentor development and support teams.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure compliance with design principles.
• Lead implementation teams through Agile SDLC phases.

Technical Qualifications:

• Experience with PLM Windchill.
