Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain WAS 7+ and JEE Server runtime environments
• Develop automation scripts using Jython, Python, Perl, and Shell scripting (Bash/Ksh/Zsh) for deployment and administration tasks
• Perform application resource binding and configuration management for J2EE applications
• Support multi-tier, remote, and scheduled deployments across large server farms
• Utilize build and release tools like ANT, Maven, Jenkins, SVN, and Nexus for automated deployment pipelines
• Monitor and maintain Linux/Unix servers and troubleshoot infrastructure issues
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure reliable release processes
• Analyze and resolve deployment failures, performance issues, and system bottlenecks
• Ensure adherence to release management best practices and standards
• Document release processes, deployment procedures, and automation scripts
