WAS Administrator

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) environments
• Perform WAS installation, configuration, deployment, and administration activities
• Configure databases, application domains, and enterprise integrations
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for operational and deployment activities
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, middleware, and application-related issues
• Perform support analysis and resolve production support incidents
• Handle WebSphere upgrades, patching, and vulnerability remediation activities
• Manage SSL certificate renewals, configuration, and troubleshooting
• Monitor application server performance and perform JVM tuning and optimization
• Configure and maintain WebSphere cells and Deployment Manager environments
• Ensure system security, stability, and compliance with enterprise standards
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and security teams for issue resolution and implementation support
• Maintain technical documentation for configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures
