WAS Admin

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) across Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms.
• Manage deployment of enterprise applications on WAS, including application-specific settings and resource management.
• Monitor and administer WebSphere server instances, including starting/stopping servers, configuring clusters, and ensuring high availability.
• Analyze performance and implement tuning strategies for WebSphere servers and hosted applications.
• Implement security measures, including secure communication protocols, user authentication, and access control.
• Collaborate with IT teams to integrate WAS with other services such as IBM HTTP Server, Apache Tomcat, and cloud environments like AWS.
• Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and industry standards.
