Job Description

  • Training Delivery:
  • Conduct engaging and interactive voice and accent training sessions for new hires and existing employees.
  • Facilitate workshops on phonetics, articulation, pitch control, intonation, rhythm, and stress patterns.
  • Provide training on cross-cultural communication and understanding various global accents (e.g., American, British, Australian, neutral global English).
  • Utilize a variety of training methodologies, including instructor-led sessions, group activities, role-playing, and one-on-one coaching.
  • Deliver refresher training modules to maintain and improve communication quality standards.
  • Curriculum Development:
  • Design, develop, and update training modules and materials based on identified training needs and evolving communication standards.
  • Customize training programs to address specific linguistic challenges and organizational requirements.
  • Create practical exercises, assessments, and feedback mechanisms to support learning.
  • Assessment & Coaching:
  • Conduct pre- and post-training voice assessments to evaluate communication skills and identify areas for improvement.
  • Monitor calls, emails, or chat interactions to assess communication quality, soft skills, and adherence to communication standards.
  • Provide constructive and personalized feedback to trainees using various feedback models (e.g., Sandwich Model, GROW Model).
  • Implement action plans for individuals requiring targeted improvement.
  • Track and report on trainee progress and training effectiveness.
  • Performance Improvement & Collaboration:
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance (QA) teams to align communication standards and ensure consistent quality.
  • Work closely with operations managers and team leaders to identify training needs and provide ongoing support.
  • Analyze performance data to identify root causes of communication gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends, techniques, and tools in voice training, accent neutralization, and communication skills development.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of training attendance, progress, and performance.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on training activities and outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Linguistics, English, Communications, Education, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience (X+ years, e.g., 2-5 years) as a Voice & Accent Trainer, Soft Skills Trainer, or similar role, preferably in a BPO, contact center, or corporate training environment.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Certification in Voice and Accent Training, TESOL/TEFL, or 'Train the Trainer' certification.

Required Skills:

  • Exceptional Command of English: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a neutral accent.
  • Phonetics & Linguistics: Strong understanding of phonetics, vocal physiology, and the intricacies of English sounds (vowels, consonants, stress, intonation).
  • Training & Coaching Expertise:
  • Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and deliver effective training programs.
  • Proficiency in various training methodologies and adult learning principles.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback.
  • Interpersonal Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to connect with diverse learners.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire individuals.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to assess individual learning styles and adapt training methods accordingly. Strong analytical skills to identify communication gaps and develop targeted solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Self-Motivated: Proactive and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
