VMWARE L2 Support Expert

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Level 2 support for VMware vSphere, ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and related virtual infrastructure
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve complex virtualization issues including performance, connectivity, and storage
• Monitor and maintain the health and performance of virtual environments
• Deploy, configure, and upgrade VMware components such as ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, DRS, HA, and vSAN
• Manage virtual machines, templates, snapshots, and resource allocations
• Collaborate with storage, networking, and backup teams to resolve cross-functional issues
• Analyze system logs and metrics to identify root causes of failures and propose solutions
• Document incidents, resolutions, and standard operating procedures for knowledge sharing
• Implement patches, updates, and security hardening as per IT policies
• Work with L1 support, system administrators, and cloud teams to ensure SLA compliance
• Participate in capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery testing
