Job Description

Job Summary:

The Video Editor is responsible for transforming raw video footage into a polished final product that aligns with the creative vision and meets project goals. This role involves editing footage, adding effects, managing assets, and ensuring high-quality video production across multiple media platforms. The Video Editor will collaborate closely with the production and marketing teams to create visually engaging and impactful content.

Key Responsibilities:

Video Editing:

  • Edit raw video footage into cohesive and compelling final products.
  • Trim and sequence clips to ensure smooth storytelling flow.
  • Add soundtracks, voiceovers, transitions, graphics, and visual effects to enhance overall quality.
  • Cut, stitch, and edit videos based on timecode sheets provided by the marketing team.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with directors, producers, and creative teams to understand the vision and project requirements.
  • Participate in concept discussions and contribute ideas for storyboards and shot compositions.
  • Ensure alignment with brand guidelines and creative objectives.

Technical Proficiency:

  • Utilize professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, and After Effects.
  • Maintain consistent video quality standards across all projects.
  • Implement revisions and feedback promptly and accurately.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Organize and maintain media assets, including footage, graphics, and sound effects.
  • Maintain an efficient file structure for version tracking and archiving.

Creative Input:

  • Suggest innovative editing styles, effects, and storytelling techniques.
  • Stay updated on emerging video editing trends, technologies, and tools.
  • Continuously refine editing and post-production techniques.

Quality Control:

  • Review videos for technical accuracy, color balance, and audio clarity.
  • Ensure all videos meet broadcast or digital distribution standards.
  • Conduct final quality checks before submission or publishing.
