Job Description

A travel consultant plans and books travel experiences for clients, which includes researching destinations, arranging flights and accommodations, and handling all logistical details like visas and transportation. Key responsibilities include providing expert advice on local customs and weather, securing the best rates, and maintaining strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction before, during, and after their trip. This role requires exceptional customer service, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work with booking systems.  

Core responsibilities

  • Client consultation: Discussing and understanding client needs to tailor travel plans to their preferences. 
  • Itinerary planning: Developing detailed travel itineraries that include flights, hotels, tours, and other activities. 
  • Booking and reservations: Handling all bookings for transportation (flights, car rentals), accommodations, and tours. 
  • Destination research: Researching and advising on destinations, including local customs, weather, currency, and events. 
  • Logistical support: Arranging necessary travel documents like visas and providing clients with important information and support. 
  • Financial management: Collecting deposits and balances from clients for booked packages.
