Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and data analysis to identify transportation challenges and opportunities
  • Develop strategic transportation plans and policies that address environmental sustainability, economic feasibility, and social equity
  • Design transportation infrastructure such as roads, railways, bike lanes, and pedestrian pathways ensuring safety and efficiency
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in transport planning
  • Use transportation modeling and GIS tools like Visum, Cube, Synchro, SATURN, EMME, Junctions9/Sidra/Linsig, TUBA, Quadro, Diadem
  • Analyze data to uncover trends and develop innovative transportation solutions
  • Collaborate with engineers, urban planners, and policymakers to align transport solutions with urban development
  • Provide technical oversight and mentoring to junior staff, reviewing work for quality and accuracy
  • Work within common data environments like ProjectWise for efficient data and model management
  • Communicate effectively with clients, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholders
  • Liaise with authorities and agencies for approvals and compliance
  • Support and coordinate seamless project delivery across global offices


Key Competencies & Skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in transport planning or multidisciplinary engineering projects
  • Strong background in Traffic Impact Assessments and transport infrastructure design
  • Excellent communication and client liaison skills
  • Experience with transport modelling applications, especially SATURN (preferred)
  • Proficiency with traffic analysis tools and data interpretation
  • Knowledge of BIM environments and project collaboration platforms
  • Ability to independently manage and deliver workload with minimal supervision
  • Strong analytical thinking and solution-driven approach


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field
  • Member of a recognized professional institution, working towards chartership
