Trainee Research Associate

• Advanced degree (Masters or PhD) in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Genetics, Genetic Engineering, Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences, or Biotechnology.
• 0-1 yr experienced with interest in scientific research with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Proficient in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• General proficiency in MS Office and the ability to quickly learn new software tools.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Role:

• Analyse biological patents with proposed guidelines.
• Identify and describe nucleic acid and protein sequences in a structured manner from the patent.
• Conduct thorough reading and analysis of upto 200 pages patent, identifying key scientific effects, assay conditions, biological materials used, targets studied, and subsequent experimental results.
• Transfer data accurately into a specified tool for a reputed database.
• Summarize claims, novelties, and experiments described in patents without grammatical or conceptual errors.
• Consistently meet weekly production volume and quality targets.
• Take initiative to raise, discuss, and resolve subject matter and production issues.
