Tool Design Engineer

Job Description:

• We are hiring a motivated Tool Design Engineer with 1 to 3 years of experience in designing and developing manufacturing tools, including jigs, fixtures, molds, and end-to-end tooling solutions.
• The successful candidate will have strong CAD design capabilities and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, tooling design standards, and engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop tooling solutions such as jigs, fixtures, gauges, molds, and dies according to engineering requirements.
• Create detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using CAD software.
• Partner with production, quality, and manufacturing teams to improve tool performance.
• Assess product designs to confirm manufacturability and tooling feasibility.
• Carry out design updates and implement engineering changes.
• Assist with tool trials, testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Produce BOMs (Bill of Materials) and maintain complete design documentation.
• Ensure adherence to engineering standards, safety guidelines, and customer specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to support tool manufacturing and development activities.

Technical Requirements:

• Proficiency in CATIA, Creo, NX, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of Tool Design, GD&T, Tolerance Stack-Up, and Engineering Drawings.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes including Machining, Casting, Injection Molding, Sheet Metal, and Assembly.
• Familiarity with tooling materials and manufacturing methods.
• Basic understanding of DFMEA, Design Validation, and Quality Processes.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
