Job Summary

Cummins is seeking a Technology Delivery Head to lead the strategic and delivery functions of its IT operations in India. This role requires an accomplished leader with a strong understanding of enterprise technologies, deep business insight, and a proven ability to manage large-scale technology teams and delivery programs.

The incumbent will play a pivotal role in aligning IT strategy with business goals, driving innovation across platforms like Oracle ERP, Salesforce CRM, low-code applications, and Data & Analytics, while managing cross-functional teams and vendor relationships. The role demands high-level technical expertise, strategic foresight, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic and Technical Leadership

  • Develop and implement Cummins Indias IT strategy and roadmap aligned to overall business objectives.
  • Serve as a corporate authority and expert in Cummins' technology stack, advising on current and emerging technologies.
  • Provide consultative guidance to high-impact, complex IT projects and ensure delivery excellence across platforms.

Technology Delivery & Oversight

  • Lead delivery teams responsible for Oracle ERP, Salesforce CRM, low-code platforms, and Data & Analytics services.
  • Ensure seamless end-to-end delivery of technology solutions through close collaboration with internal business and functional stakeholders.
  • Drive the execution of application and platform strategies to support business needs.

Team & Vendor Management

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of senior IT professionals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the IT team.
  • Manage third-party vendors to ensure optimal delivery, compliance, and alignment with Cummins' quality standards.

Governance & Compliance

  • Define and enforce technology standards, policies, and procedures with a focus on data protection and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee IT budgeting, resource planning, and performance monitoring.
  • Promote best practices in information security and enterprise architecture.

Advisory & Influence

  • Partner with leadership to identify IT opportunities and influence long-term strategies.
  • Act as a thought leader and mentor across the IT function.
  • Represent Cummins in industry forums, conferences, and internal strategy sessions.

Additional Responsibilities Unique to this Position

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in IT leadership, delivery, and strategy across large-scale organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle ERP technologies, CRM (preferably Salesforce), analytics platforms, and low-code development tools.

Must have Experience

  • Deep knowledge of Cummins technology landscape and business processes.
  • Participation in external technology forums, with published papers or speaking engagements.
  • Experience managing IT budgets, strategic planning, and compliance standards in a global enterprise setting.
  • Must be aware of agile methodology and devops.
