Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of Application Support / SRE engineers.
- Provide hands-on Production Support for Java and microservices-based applications.
- Perform application monitoring and proactively identify issues.
- Work in 24/7 rotational shifts to ensure continuous system availability.
- Implement object-oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for issue resolution and process improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve microservices, API, and database-related issues.
- Perform incident management and root cause analysis (RCA).
- Mentor junior associates and promote self-learning and adoption of new technologies.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in Application Support / SRE roles.
- Strong knowledge of Java, APIs, and Microservices.
- Experience with Relational Databases (SQL), Shell scripting, and Python scripting.
- Hands-on experience in Microservices, Docker, and Jenkins.
- Proficiency in New Relic, Dynatrace, Grafana, Kibana (mandatory).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage incident resolution and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and MS Excel for reporting and documentation.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to AWS and cloud-based infrastructure management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Passion for exploring and adopting new technologies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Process-oriented mindset with excellent documentation skills.
