Team Lead - Software

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Investigate, define, and resolve complex technical issues including race conditions, cross-threading, and intermittent data issues.
• Architect and build incremental solutions independently and larger solutions with guidance.
• Ensure performant, secure, and scalable code is produced and maintained.
• Take accountability for all code produced by the team and provide mentoring to team members.
• Accurately estimate development tasks and manage time effectively.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to build solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Participate actively in Agile SCRUM processes including refinement, planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Peer-review code and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to improving software development processes within Digital Innovation.
• Educate team members on coding best practices, security, privacy, and ethical standards.
• Design scalable and robust technical application architectures.
• Communicate complex technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Apply creative thinking to solve problems and contribute specialist expertise to requirements definition.

Technical Skills

• High-level experience with Microsoft .NET / C#
• Microsoft Visual Studio
• Databases: Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, MySQL, Azure COSMOS
• SOLID principles, Design Patterns, Dependency Injection
• Unit Testing and Integration Testing using NUnit/xUnit
• REST web services
• Web UI development: JQuery, React, Angular
• Azure PaaS services (Functions, Storage, Key Vault)
• Azure CI/CD pipelines and Quality Gates
• Containerization: Docker (Linux/Windows)
• Development of distributed and scalable solutions
• Agile SCRUM methodology
