Job Description
Job Summary:
Tax Analyst will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's tax-related activities, compliances, assisting with tax assessments, ensuring compliance with income-tax regulations. This role involves preparing tax returns, conducting tax research, and providing strategic tax planning advice.
About The Role
- Prepare quarterly advance tax computations and ensure timely payment of taxes.
- Prepare quarterly current tax and deferred tax provisions.
- Prepare annual income-tax computations, current tax, deferred tax and ETR calculations and support on tax accounting during statutory audit.
- Review annual income tax computations for India GAAP statutory filing.
- Provide support with statutory audits, Form 3CEB filings, transfer pricing related documentation support, etc.
- Assist in tax audits and litigations to manage tax notices and collate information from various stakeholders.
- Coordinate with internal & external auditors for tax audits and assessments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on various matters related to tax including ad-hoc tax related queries.
- Work closely with tax authorities, consultants, and internal teams for tax matters. Support the team on ad hoc projects, as required.
- Ensure timely compliance with TDS and Income Tax regulations.
- Oversee filing of Tax Audit Reports and Income Tax Returns.
- Conduct monthly tax reconciliations between books and tax returns and pass necessary accounting entries.
- Streamline tax processes and improve tax efficiency.
- Leverage Oracle or other ERP tools for tax management and automation.
- Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support business decisions.
- Monitor changes in tax legislation and update the company's tax policies accordingly.
- Collaborate with internal teams to optimize tax strategies and minimize tax liabilities.
- Provide support in tax planning and advisory services.
- Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
Qualifications and Role Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant with minimum 2–3 years of tax experience in BIG4 or multinational company.
- Strong knowledge of Indian tax laws and regulations.
- Working knowledge of income-tax returns and assessments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tax projects and deadlines.
- Understanding of US GAAP accounting appreciated.
- Practical experience in tax automation projects would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge of tax software (e.g. ONESOURCE/ Longview) is a plus.
- Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional teams in various time zones.
- Strong time management skills and commitment to meeting timelines consistently.
