Your Role And Responsibilities

As a Back-End Developer for IBM Z, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, unit testing, and delivering solutions for IBM Z, including z/OS, by employing agile methodologies and DevOps tools. You will operate within a collaborative framework to comprehend requirements, design, code, debug, and test innovative solutions tailored to client needs.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

• Solution Design and Development: Create, develop, and unit test offerings for IBM Z, leveraging programming languages such as HLASM/Assembler and PL/X to provide top-tier solutions.
• Collaborative Problem-Solving: Engage collaboratively to grasp client requirements, design, code, debug, and rigorously test innovative solutions that ensure exceptional quality and resilience.
• Quality Assurance: Guarantee that solutions adhere to industry-leading quality and resilience standards, aligning with strategic priorities such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing.
• Mainframe Storage and Database Management: Engage with mainframe storage options and database technologies, including IMS, DB2, and z/OS security mechanisms like RACF, SSL, SSO, and Multi-Factor Authentication.
• Agile and DevOps Methodologies: Implement agile practices and DevOps tooling to efficiently and effectively deliver solutions.

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

• Proficiency in Programming Languages: Demonstrated experience with programming languages such as HLASM/Assembler, PL/X, or C/C++ for the design, development, and unit testing of offerings for IBM Z.
• Familiarity with Mainframe Technologies: Background in z/OS, zTPF, zVM, and zVSE, including subsystems like CICS, IMS, and MVS.
• Agile and DevOps Methodologies: Proven experience with agile practices and DevOps tooling to enhance solution delivery.
• Storage and Database Expertise: Knowledge of mainframe storage solutions and database technologies, including IMS, DB2, and z/OS security features such as RACF, SSL, SSO, and Multi-Factor Authentication.
• Assurance of Solution Quality: Experience in ensuring exceptional quality and resilience in solutions, supporting strategic initiatives such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing.

• Knowledge of Cloud Development: Experience in cloud development and strategic initiatives, particularly with artificial intelligence. Familiarity with designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for IBM Z and understanding cloud security and compliance requirements.
• Understanding of Artificial Intelligence: Experience with AI concepts and technologies, including machine learning and natural language processing, with the ability to integrate AI functionalities into IBM Z solutions.
• Expertise in Mainframe Security: Experience with z/OS security features such as RACF, SSL, SSO, and Multi-Factor Authentication. Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards relevant to mainframe systems.
