Supply Capability Lead

Summary
This is a 6-month contract position with working hours from 8 am to 5 pm IST, requiring 5 days of on-site work from the office. The role focuses on designing and embedding standard work processes, recognizing skill gaps, strengthening digital capabilities, improving system functionality, and evaluating supply maturity across supply chain teams. You will partner with end users to support successful adoption of tools and processes, fostering a culture of continuous learning and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:

• Standard Work Process Development & Adoption
  • Define, record, and implement standardized work processes to improve consistency and efficiency.
  • Coordinate and harmonize best practices across supply chain teams to enable smooth integration into daily operations.
  • Create and maintain training materials, SOPs, and process documentation for end users.
  • Track adherence to standard work and champion ongoing continuous improvement efforts.
• Skill Gap Identification & Development
  • Evaluate existing skill gaps across supply planning, logistics, and production teams.
  • Plan and implement structured training initiatives to upskill employees in essential competencies.
  • Set up learning pathways to build technical, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to support knowledge retention and long-term capability growth.
• Digital Skills Enablement
  • Promote digital literacy and drive adoption of supply planning, forecasting, and execution tools.
  • Train end users on analytics, automation, and digital solutions to strengthen decision-making.
  • Assist teams in applying data-driven insights to increase supply chain responsiveness.
  • Recognize and encourage relevant digital trends that can improve operational performance.
• System Capability Development & End-User Support
  • Own the improvement and adoption of supply chain systems, including OMP, ECC, and APO.
  • Partner with IT and business stakeholders to optimize system features for end users.
  • Deliver continuous coaching and support to enable effective system utilization.
  • Detect and address system-related issues to improve user experience and productivity.
• Supply Maturity Assessment
  • Build and deploy a Supply Maturity Framework to evaluate and monitor capability levels across key supply functions.
  • Perform recurring assessments to review process compliance, system usage, and skill proficiency.
  • Pinpoint gaps and improvement opportunities, then develop action plans to enhance supply maturity.
  • Benchmark supply capabilities against industry best practices to support continuous improvement.

Required Skills:

• 5 years of experience in supply planning, capability development, or digital transformation.
• Strong expertise in supply chain systems (OMP, ECC, APO, analytics tools, automation platforms) - Mandatory skillsets.
• Experience in developing and embedding standardized work processes.
• Proven track record in training, coaching, and upskilling supply chain teams.
• Experience conducting capability or maturity assessments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
• Ability to drive digital adoption and system capability enhancement.

Education & Qualifications:

• Relevant educational qualifications in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field are preferred.
