What You'll Do:
- Act as the ultimate point of contact for intricate storage problems, providing expert guidance and resolutions.
- Create robust storage designs tailored to large-scale enterprise needs, considering factors like scalability, performance, and redundancy.
- Establish and enforce effective storage management practices, ensuring data protection, availability, and compliance.
- Estimate future storage requirements, analyze performance metrics, and optimize resource utilization in extensive storage environments.
- Plan and implement strategies to ensure data continuity during disasters or disruptions, including failover and data replication.
- Assess storage security risks, apply necessary controls, and safeguard data integrity and confidentiality.
- Advise on compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) related to storage systems, ensuring adherence to legal and industry regulations.
- Work with other IT teams to seamlessly integrate storage solutions into broader infrastructure, such as databases, applications, and virtualization platforms.
- Help create and maintain documentation, policies, and standards related to storage management, ensuring consistency and alignment with organizational goals.
- Stay informed about emerging storage technologies, evaluate their suitability, and drive their adoption within the organization.

- Oversee data backup and recovery processes using Tape libraries, ensuring reliable backups and efficient restoration.
- Set up and maintain data replication solutions for disaster recovery purposes, ensuring data availability and minimizing downtime.
- Stay current with storage industry trends, attend conferences, and explore new technologies to enhance storage practices.
- Diagnose and address storage-related problems, including data corruption, loss, and system failures, ensuring minimal impact on operations.
- Apply security controls, enforce access restrictions, and protect data stored in storage systems from unauthorized access or breaches.
- Actively engage in disaster recovery drills to validate the effectiveness of recovery procedures and enhance preparedness for real-world incidents.
- Skills: NetApp Certified Technology Solutions Professional, Pure Storage FlashArray Storage Professional, VMCE
- Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or a related discipline.
- Approximately five years of experience in a companys storage environment.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery technologies and data replication.
- Hardware and Software Expertise: Proficiency in both hardware and software aspects of storage systems.
- Awareness of the latest trends in data storage, backup strategies.
- Disaster Recovery Planning: Contribute to disaster recovery planning to prevent data loss during system failures or cyber-attacks.
