Key Responsibilities:

MQ Administration: Manage distributed MQ environments, including queue managers, queues, channels, and MQ clustering.
Architecture & Message Flows: Review MQ architecture and ensure complete understanding of MQ message flows across systems.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve incidents in production and test MQ environments, including authorization and connectivity issues.
Security: Implement and manage MQ SSL configurations and client-server security setups.
MQI Knowledge: Utilize knowledge of MQI calls for application-level MQ troubleshooting.
Backup & Recovery: Perform backup and recovery of MQ objects and messages; follow MQ contingency procedures.
Monitoring & Configuration: Manage MQ monitoring tools and perform configuration updates as needed.
Scripting: Develop basic UNIX shell scripts to support MQ administration tasks.
Support & Operations: Handle crisis calls, DQR, and MIR activities as part of 24x7 support responsibilities.
Cross-Technology Support: Perform basic WAS/IHS restarts and troubleshoot related issues such as OOO errors and heap size problems.
Communication & Collaboration: Work effectively within a globally distributed team, ensuring clear and timely communication.
Analysis & Prioritization: Apply strong analytical skills to resolve issues and prioritize tasks efficiently.
