Job Description
As part of the AMD Embedded Processor Architecture, Engineering and Solutions (APAES) team, you will be playing a crucial role in validation on Graphics Driver on Ubuntu Linux, Android and Yocto .
This involves being hands on in creation of validation plans, test case, use case creation . Your work will enable Graphics driver validation team to improve the effectiveness through comprehensive validation coverage across all the features enabled on the graphics driver software stack
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Strong Individual contributor coupled with a capability to Lead validation teams
- Engage multi-disciplinary stakeholders for requirement gathering and issue resolving
- Interacts closely with key stake holders in making sure customer and user experience is given the highest priority
- Develop complete understanding of upcoming AMD Platforms, SOCs, IPs, tools, and programming libraries to create relevant and cohesive solutions
Required skills :
-Linux Graphics driver validation expertise across Multimedia, Graphics APIs, Power Management, IO, Ethernet
-Derive Test Case and use cases creation from requirements ensuring 100% functional feature and non functional (stress, soak scenarios) coverage
-Validation Plan creation for upcoming programs
-Defect Lifecycle: Make sure defects have complete information of what is needed for Development teams to debug issues
-Come up with requirements for automation team for having test cases automated, improve process efficiency
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Preferred 5+ years of commercial software test experience required.
- Proven track record of developing and architecting Validation plans and test cases in a x86 environment
- Power user of Ubuntu, custom Linux,
- Experienced with creating modular and maintainable test and use cases adhering to best practices
- Experience with debugging and triage of usecases in close collaboration with Development teams
- Software and hardware test + debug experience
- Familiarity with source controls systems like GitHub, Perforce and SVN
