Job description

Design, implement, and manage security controls and practices in cloud environments.
Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools to enhance security operations and incident response.
Implement and manage security infrastructure as code.
Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to integrate security practices into the DevOps pipeline.
Provide security guidance and best practices to engineering teams
Establish and maintain monitoring systems to detect and respond to security threats and anomalies.
Lead incident response efforts, including root cause analysis and remediation.
Stay current with emerging security threats and industry trends.
Propose and implement improvements to security policies, processes, and technologies.

What skills do I need

3+ years of experience in cloud security, site reliability engineering, or a related role
bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security
Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and their security features.
Experience with microservices and distributed applications and serverless computing capabilities on AWS
Proficiency in scripting languages (eg, Python, Bash) and automation tools (eg, Terraform, Ansible).
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (eg, Docker, Kubernetes).
Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (eg, NIST, ISO 27001, CIS).
Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools.
Knowledge of network security, identity and access management, and data protection.
Having certifications like CISSP, CISM, AWS Certified Security - Specialty is preferred
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
