Role Overview Description

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

SoHo Dragon is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our products through robust manual and automated testing methodologies. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in manual testing, team handling, and client communication, coupled with expertise in automation testing. This role is vital to our commitment to delivering high-quality solutions to our clients and will require strong analytical skills as well as an ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Manual Testing

Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual testing.

Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring timely resolution.

Conduct thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.

Automation Testing

Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.

Execute automated tests and analyze results to ensure software quality.

Continuously improve automation processes and testing techniques.

Team Handling

Lead and mentor junior QA staff, fostering a culture of quality awareness.

Oversee daily QA activities to ensure timely project deliverables.

Encourage open communication and knowledge sharing within the team.

Client Communication

  • Act as the primary point of contact for QA-related queries or issues with clients.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders regarding quality assurance activities and results.
  • Collaborate with clients to define their quality expectations and ensure they are met.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a focus on both manual and automation testing.
  • Proven experience in team handling and mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective client engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience in client handling is a plus.
