Role Summary

• As a Database Administrator in the Database Management organization at Honeywell, work on large footprints of various database technologies.
• Contribute to innovation, performance, reliability, and scalability across on-prem and cloud-based database platforms.
• Engage in Oracle database development, architecture, and operations for Honeywell's Digital Platform and Applications.
• Support global high-availability and high-performance environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Must have hands-on experience in Oracle Database upgrade from 12c to 19c.
• Must have hands-on experience with high availability database solutions: physical, logical, and Active Data Guard.
• Must have hands-on DB technology support for SAP Oracle database or Oracle ERP.
• Hands-on experience in Oracle EBS R12.1 and R12.2, SAP ERP Oracle database.
• Hands-on experience with full lifecycle of Oracle database environment (Plan, Build, Patch, Run) including SAP DB and EBS R12.2, R12.1.
• Maintain and develop backup/recovery processes for Oracle databases and ecosystems.
• Engage in strategic platform adoption for Oracle databases on-prem and cloud infrastructures (OCI, AWS, Azure).
• Contribute to database automation for process efficiency and risk compliance.
• Drive stability initiatives by reviewing and addressing performance and capacity trends.
• Participate in 24x7 operational support shift model.
• Ready to learn other database technologies like MS SQL, MySQL, and open-source databases.
• Ensure effective 24x7 centralized database monitoring and auditing tools.
• Maintain a reliable CMDB inventory and manage associated asset savings.
• Create and maintain documentation for architecture, DB migration, DB creation, security, user management, etc.
• Engage with patching and vulnerabilities management.
• Troubleshoot business-impacting performance issues.
• Apply concepts and procedures to resolve issues with leadership guidance.
• Ensure compliance with SOX, PCI, GDPR, and export regulations.
• Participate in cross-platform training and career development sessions.

You Must Have

• Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Oracle database.
• Strong hands-on knowledge in SAP DB administration or Oracle EBS is a big plus.
• Basic experience in database tuning and replication.
• Knowledge across the full software development lifecycle.
• Experience in cloud transformation and migration.
• Excellent oral, written, and collaborative communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across IT, suppliers, and business teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration.
• Hands-on experience with data protection, business continuity, and disaster recovery.
• Experience in managing critical outages and risk-based remediation efforts.
• Creative and collaborative problem-solving skills.
