Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with strong experience in Erection, Testing & Commissioning (ETC) of 110kV and above GIS/AIS substations and transmission lines. The ideal candidate will manage end-to-end execution of high-voltage electrical infrastructure projects while ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution

• Lead and manage ETC activities for GIS/AIS substations (110kV and above) and transmission lines
• Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of:
• Power transformers
• Circuit breakers
• Isolators
• CTs/PTs
• Protection & relay systems
• Ensure adherence to project schedules, technical specifications, and quality standards

Technical & Engineering

• Interpret and review electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts
• Perform pre-commissioning checks and functional testing
• Troubleshoot technical issues during execution and commissioning
• Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, IEEE, and other applicable standards

Site Management

• Supervise site teams, contractors, and subcontractors
• Plan and manage manpower, tools, and materials efficiently
• Monitor project progress and prepare daily/weekly reports

Safety & Compliance

• Implement and enforce site safety procedures and electrical safety guidelines
• Conduct toolbox talks and safety audits
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements

Coordination & Reporting

• Coordinate with clients, consultants, and internal project teams
• Prepare commissioning reports, technical documentation, and progress updates
• Support project planning, scheduling, and cost control activities

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong expertise in GIS/AIS substations (110kV and above)
• Hands-on experience in protection systems, relay testing, and commissioning
• Knowledge of transmission line erection and testing
• Familiarity with modern testing tools such as OMICRON
• Good understanding of electrical standards and safety practices
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and leadership skills
• Effective communication and team management abilities
