Splunk Developer (MResult)

Responsibilities:

• Develop Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) queries, reports, and dashboards
• Create and deploy Splunk applications using Splunk Deployment Server
• Test and deploy reporting solutions to support various IT operations use cases
• Gather and analyze requirements for new reporting requests and data queries from users
• Communicate effectively with leadership and other organizational levels regarding status, issues, and escalations

Minimum Required Skills / Competencies:

• Hands-on experience working in an infrastructure environment
• Proficiency in SPL, SQL, and related search/query languages
• Experience using Splunk CLI for administrative and operational tasks
• Knowledge of Oracle databases and scripting using Bash or KornShell (ksh)
• Preferred experience with Splunk 6 for report and dashboard creation
• Preferred experience with network packet sniffing tools and appliances
• Preferred experience with Splunk dbConnect application and Splunk forwarder deployment
