Job Description
As a Spacecraft Electrical AIT Engineer, you will lead the integration and testing of spacecraft electrical systems, ensuring end-to-end system readiness for launch. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on the validation of complex, highly integrated electronic systems used in space missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage all test documentation including test matrices, procedures, scripts, and final reports
- Oversee electrical AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test) processes in collaboration with Quality Control (QC)
- Define and prepare Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) requirements
- Support and participate in environmental tests (TVAC, Vibration, Acoustic, EMI/EMC) at the satellite level
- Manage non-conformance and anomaly investigations, proposing corrective actions
- Support pre-launch activities and launch campaigns (typically 5–8 weeks)
- Maintain compliance with ISO 14644-1 cleanroom standards
- Ensure all activities are completed within defined timelines and resources
Must-Have Skills
- Proficient with electrical tools and test aids (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes, breakout boxes)
- Strong understanding of electrical signal characterization
- Experience working with EGSE and spacecraft connector mating/demating
- Capable of writing test procedures, non-conformance reports, and automation scripts
- Working proficiency in English, both written and spoken
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with spacecraft or high-reliability systems
- Experience with test script development, preferably in Python or similar scripting languages
- Familiarity with space system standards and launch campaign operations
- Demonstrated interdisciplinary and problem-solving skills in fast-paced environments
