Software Quality Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Test Planning & Strategy

• Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies based on requirements and specifications
• Define detailed test cases, test data, and a clear roadmap for testing activities

Automated Testing

• Write, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using Python and Robot Framework
• Design reusable and scalable automation for functional and non-functional testing
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines

End-to-End Testing

• Perform end-to-end testing to ensure system-wide functionality
• Execute regression, smoke, and functional tests in multiple environments
• Identify and document defects, ensuring resolution with development teams

Test Execution & Reporting

• Execute manual and automated tests across platforms (web, desktop, etc.)
• Report and prioritize bugs, ensuring proper communication with stakeholders
• Validate edge cases and full product functionality for maximum coverage

Continuous Improvement

• Collaborate to improve test processes and automation strategies
• Actively participate in stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives

Collaboration & Communication

• Work with developers, product managers, and QA teams for requirement clarity and test coverage
• Provide detailed feedback to improve product quality

Requirements

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

Experience

• 5–7 years in software QA or related roles
• Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing

Technical Skills

• Proficient in Python for automation
• Strong experience with Robot Framework
• Familiar with CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI
• Good understanding of Git for version control
• Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter
• Experience with test case management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)

Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration
• Problem-solving mindset and strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently or in a fast-paced team

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience in medical/biomedical device testing
• Exposure to Agile tools like Jira, Trello, or Asana
