Software Engineering Manager, Confidential Computing

Responsibilities

• Serve as a people manager and support the growth and career development of individuals on the team.
• Work closely with Confidential Computing leadership, as well as development and infrastructure teams, to understand current and upcoming needs and plan and prioritize accordingly.
• Define strategy and rally the group around shared goals, shape team culture.
• Manage relationships and stakeholders, including peer leaders on the team, technical leaders on other teams, and developers who leverage our capabilities.
• Collaborate with partner teams across the organization to build towards a common goal. Contribute to the overall health of the broader organization.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with system programming/kernel development.
• Experience with developing virtualization (hypervisor) or operating system security.
• Experience leading through technical and organizational complexity.
• Experience driving collaborations in a distributed engineering organization.
• Ability to set and drive the technical strategy, and provide detailed technical guidance to the team, enabling them to execute effectively.
• Interest in the security space.
